I've been telling stories in comic books professionally now for 27 years-My 1st published story was in Comico Primer, way back in November of '83 at Comico Comics- In 1984 I was assigned the Japanese cartoon based Robotech Masters (after two issues of Robotech Macross) -This eventually led to my co-creating EAGLE, which my partner,Rich Rankin and I self-published for several years through Crystal Comics (our own label) until the b& w comics boom fizzled.
Among the many comics I've drawn since: SUPERMAN ADVENTURES; TARZAN THE WARRIOR; Douglas Adams' LIFE, THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING; ADVENTURES OF THE MASK; UNTOLD TALES OF SPIDER-MAN:STRANGE ENCOUNTERS; JONNY DEMON;TEENAGENTS; CONGORILLA; NINJAK; JURASSIC PARK:RAPTOR ATTACK; TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES MEET FLAMING CARROT;LORELEI; PARLIAMENT OF JUSTICE; THE BLACK FOREST 1 & 2 (Bob Tinnell and I won Rondo Awards for both BLACK FOREST books) and THE WICKED WEST 1 & 2...and many, many more.
I've recently drawn short stories for Kerry Gammill's BELA LUGOSI:TALES FROM THE GRAVE and Rich Woodall's anthology ZOMBIE BOMB! (reuniting on both with my old EAGLE partner Jack Herman)
I also did chapter illos for two film books: IN ALL SINCERITY,PETER CUSHING by Chris Gullo and VINCENT PRICE:THE ART OF FEAR by Denis Meikle.
I've just finished 50 sketch cards for the Hammer Films Trading Card 2 set (I've also done some Iron Man 2 cards).
A Dr. Strange story I drew 12 years ago (just after the UNTOLD TALES book) is finally being published in early 2011-I am very excited about this as it was a favorite project of mine.
I'm now working on FLESH & BLOOD,another "monster rally" comic series with Bob Tinnell-tho this one is inspired by the legendary Hammer Films.
I've left quite a few out due to space and humility...well, OK, just space.
That's All,Vokes!
